    We meet the first 3 Thursdays of each month, from 7-9pm at 
    Au Coquelot Cafe; and the last Thursday of each month
    with the BAFUG folks at UC Computers, 7:30-9pm.

Close but no cigar.

BAFUG-Berkeley meets on the _4th_ Thursday, which sometimes equates
to the last Thursday, but sometimes not.  Some months contain five
Thursdays.  In Y2K, March, June, August, and November have five, while
the other months have four.

You probably psyched yourself out by looking only at February, where
the 4th Thursday does happen to also be the last one.

Suggestion:  print the output of "gcal 2000" to paper, and tape that
to your wall.  gcal aka "cal" is your friend when doing calendar work.
