[buug] cvsup problems

 Hi,
 
 This is my first attempt at cvsup.  It went ok for a while.  I 
 followed the instructions at 
 http://www.osnews.com/story.php?news_id=818&page=2 --pretty 
 straight-forward.  Here's the error message I get when I reboot 
 into single-user mode, do fsck -p, mount -u /, and mount -a, and 
 then make installworld:
 
 mtree -deU -f /usr/src/etc/mtree/BSD.root.dist - /
 mtree -deU -f /usr/src/etc/mtree/BSD.root.dist - /var
 mtree: line 63: unknown usr smmsp
 ***Error code 1
 
 Stop in /usr/src/etc.
 ***Error code 1
 
 Stop in /usr/src.
 ***Error code 1
 
 Stop in /usr/src.
 ***Error code 1
 
 Stop in /usr/src.
 ***Error code 1
 
 Stop in /usr/src.
 #

 .......
 
 It does this for about 10 seconds after entering "make installworld".
 
 What the heck do I do now?
