Help for some older stuff....

Has anyone had experience in running a Cannon ISA Connected Scanner IX
4015 on Linux or (Unix) FreeBSD platforms?

I want to eliminate another windows 98 box that keeps crashing even
though it is
only running a scanner and zip drive backup. 

Any pointers to how two's or personal experience appreciated.
