i always immediately disable inetd unless absolutely needed. portmap and rpc.statd are mostly unecessary for web servers, you would likely know you needed them. disabling all services i didnt understand has NEVER hurt me in 10 years, worst case you can re-enable it.
but hey, you should have a firewall between your web server and network(s) which would stop traffic from hitting the machine.
