[buug] Backups :-) (& CD-R[W], etc.)

At last Thursday's BUUG meeting, there was a fair discussion of backups,
among at least some of us.  A few things mentioned/discussed (now adding
the references):
backups and backups to CD-R[W] - here's something I wrote several years
ago and used to use very regularly for backing up my personal laptop to
