You know what's _really_ annoying in a text editor? Only one level of
undo, and modal operation without any visual indication of what mode
you're in.
I also have to wonder about the notion of absolute compatibility with
Bill Joy's original vi in every obscure corner of text processing being de
rigeur, when any complex processing would go to awk / sed / perl / etc.
