Alas, I've still got some catching up to do on reading earlier Debian
Project News mailings.  Which, by the way, is an excellent, and
relatively low volume (one per week, or less) list to read if one is
involved with or rather to quite interested in Debian.  If even that is
"too much", one may want to just subscribe to Debian Announce:

which is about a dozen emailings per year (if you're only going to
follow one of those, then Debian Announce is probably best).
