[buug] Symfony framework

Hello,

Has anyone evaluated the Symfony framework as far as security is concerned?
I'm really jittery about allowing files with 0777 perms inside the web root,
but this seems to be required for the 'cache' and 'log' paths :-/

Convence me that I'm wrong (so I'll sleep better at night).
